Join our practice gathering to move, breathe, rest as we prepare to chant 108 repetitions of the Maha Mritunjaya Mantra together.
Workshop at the Arc, Islington with Lisa Kaley-Isley and Rebekah Hay-Brown
October 25 2025 / 10:00 - 13:00 UK / £40
We are living in troubling times. Throughout history the teachings of yoga are offered to those who seek guidance for wise action and relief from suffering during times of turmoil. Having a place, a practice, and a community to turn to can be an invaluable resource. I invite you to join me and Rebekah at the Arc in Islington for this sangha sadhana gathering.
The Maha Mrityunjaya mantra (MMM) was introduced to me as the mantra for healers, for healing, at end of life, and in urgent situations. Akin to calling 999 to emergency services when we need help and support, the MMM is calling the divine forces at work in life’s moments of need. The mantra is a refuge, a source of liberation, and a deeply transformative force. It is an open resource to all who welcome and value it’s capacity to support us through life’s challenges and opportunities.
This workshop is offered as a call to the sangha to practice together in person again in London. We will be in the intimate setting of the Arc Islington following a 3-day yoga therapy workshop with my teacher Gary Kraftsow. I’m sure the richness of that experience will carry over to this one. We will mindfully move and breathe to prepare ourselves to sit for chanting 1 mala (108 repetitions) of the mantra. If you have a mala please bring it. Rebekah will guide us in a relaxing restorative pose to integrate the practice and close. I will share information about chanting and this mantra, and there will be some time for questions, discussion, and sharing. Come prepared to be receptive to the mantra and wiling to be expressive with your voice in a group setting.
