Most Friday mornings since the very beginning of the Covid-19 stay-at-home instructions, I’ve been teaching and recording my yoga classes. I’ve been teaching this Friday class for 7 years now and I’m still happy each week to wake up to the students and opportunity to practice together. I admit, I don’t miss my across London commute to do it. I also admit I’m a low tech filmer, hoping the quality of instruction makes up for the lack of technological perfection. The earlier ones were really rough, so i hope I have improved a least some if my attention to the lights and camera, but they are really not my priority. My priority is the practice experience. To that end, I also find benefit that after years of teaching as an ephemeral one-off experience, there’s now a record of some of the practices from which I have found so much benefit. Much as I would like it, we cannot always be together at the same time in the same place. But we can live the reality that time and space are an unlimited continuum by doing later what was done earlier, and in this way still be together. If you have not yet tried, or not in awhile, using one of these videos to guide your practice I invite you to give it a go. I have missed out uploading some of them, but there is now a robust repertoire of some of my favourite go-to asana, relaxation, pranayama, and meditation practices recorded for you to use. Use this link to the Resources: Online Classes page on my website to access classes and payment information. Let’s mutually support each other through these times of change, new learning, silver linings, and challenge adapt and grow. I hope we’ll meet up on a yoga mat live online or recorded later sometime soon. Sending all best wishes for your well being and learning.
